1927 |
Christian Eschler Senior founded a mechanical circular knitting plant in St.Gallen-Bruggen,
Switzerland, which moved to Bühler/AR in 1935. Expansion continued in 1939/40
with the erection of a dyeing plant. In 1946/47 there was the addition of 2 tenter
frames and 1964 saw the mechanisation of warp knit fabric finishing.

Death of founder Christian Eschler Sr. Management passed to his two sons, Kurt and
Christian Eschler Jr.

Foundation of Eschler Textil GmbH in Frommern/Germany under leadership of Heinz
Eschler.

The finishing department expanded into a spacious new building. |

Take-over of Lehr AG, curtain manufacturers, in Münchwilen/TG and transfer of the warp knitting department to these premises. |
